Chemical Treatment

Swimtime® is the licensed Accu-Tab dealer for Kansas and western Missouri. We stock and deliver Accu-Tab® and Acid-Rite® tablets, along with a wide range of commercial pool chemicals, including muriatic acid, granular chlorine, and soda ash. Whether you need routine deliveries or emergency replenishment, our team is ready to keep your facility supplied. Call 1-800-835-3272 to order.

Accu-Tab Chlorination System

When it comes to sanitizing power, the Accu-Tab® Chlorination System, when used with Accu-Tab Blue SI tablets, brings proven technology to a broad range of applications killing pathogens, controlling algae formation, destroying organic contaminants and maintaining chlorine residuals.

Manufactured in the U.S., the NSF-certified system combines erosion-adjusted calcium hypochlorite tablets with a controllable water flow and sieve plate design resulting in consistent chlorine delivery to meet the most demanding requirements.

Minimizing safety concerns typically associated with other chlorination systems, the Accu-Tab system reduces the risk of leaks, eliminating the need for HAZMAT safety equipment and training that comes along with gas chlorine, or a containment structure for liquid chlorine use.

Acid-Rite pH Adjustment System

Proper pH balance is easier than ever with the Acid-Rite® pH Adjustment System.

Powered by innovative tablet-erosion technology, Acid-Rite is an effective alternative to bulky liquid acid systems, CO2 and cumbersome granular sodium bisulfate bags.

The system provides reliable pH balancing combined with easy installation and maintenance. Acid-Rite tablets, made of sodium bisulfate, have low odor, creating a friendlier working environment for pool operations.

Unlike muriatic or sulfuric acid, Acid-Rite tablets don’t cause fuming that can attack expensive equipment like chemical controllers.

When combined with the Accu-Tab Chlorination System, operators gain a more practical one-two punch in maintaining water quality at aquatic facilities of any size.

Valves

United Industries-Modulating Float Valve

Modulating float valves manufactured by SwimTime® are designed for application at the terminus of gravity flow horizontal main drain lines of an aquatic facility, normally terminating in a surge or balance tank. The purpose of a surge or balance tank is to provide a reservoir to receive water that has been displaced by bathers entering the pool. The purpose of the modulating float valve is to help “balance” the flow of water coming from the surface (skimmers or perimeter gutter) and the bottom (main drain) of the pool. When the pool is not in use, the vast majority of water entering the surge tank comes through the main drain at the pool bottom. When the circulation system of the pool is running, the surge tank will achieve a standard operating level. When bathers enter the pool, the water they displace flows through the surface skimmers or gutter and into the surge tank, raising the water level in the tank. When the water in the tank rises, the float on the valve rises, closing the valve on the main drain line and reducing the amount of water coming from the main drain equal to the amount now entering the tank through the surface, effectively maintaining a reasonably consistent operating level in the tank. Modulating float valves manufactured by SwimTime® are not positive shut-off valves and are designed to allow app. 5 – 10% open when the float is in the full up (valve closed) position.

Bray-Butterfly Valve (Cast Iron)

The Bray Series 30 Wafer and Series 31 Lug style resilient seated butterfly valves feature a one-piece body with a high-strength through stem design utilizing an internal disc to stem connection.

The Series 30/31 is engineered to provide bidirectional bubble-tight shutoff and isolation of the line media from the stem and valve body.

Available with a wide selection of high-quality resilient seat & disc materials for a variety of applications, our Series 30/31 butterfly valves are easily automated for on-off or modulating service.

Thermo Plastic-Butterfly Valve (PVC)

Thermoplastic Butterfly Valves 2″ – 8″ are wafer style to fit between ANSI B16.5 Class 150 flanges. Disc is smooth and contoured for lowest possible pressure drop (highest Cv). Shaft is 410 S.S. and of one piece, through shaft design, with square drive through entire length of blade. 2″ – 6″ valves shall be complete with a spring loaded 15 position latch lever.

Why Swimtime® Is a Strong Fit for Zoos & Aquariums

Unlike traditional commercial pools, zoological water systems must balance filtration efficiency with the unique biological needs of the animals that call these exhibits home. Even a brief interruption in water quality can affect animal health, exhibit operations, and the guest experience.

Why SwimTime® Is a Strong Fit for Municipal Pools

Every municipal swimming pool has the same goal: provide clean, safe water while keeping operations efficient and meeting local health code requirements. But aging infrastructure, increasing maintenance costs, heavy seasonal use, and changing regulations can make that increasingly difficult.
