How Tower-Flo® Supports Large Facilities

How We Do it

Sand Filtration

TFW System

TOWER-FLO® Series TFW use filament-wound fiberglass vessels available in three basic models, differentiated by filter vessel size in diameter inches: the TFW-20, TFW-24, and TFW-30. All TOWER-FLO® Series TFW self-contained filter plants consist of the following major components: base, pump, motor, strainer, facepiping, controls, and filter vessel. The filter plant shall be designed for a maximum filtration rate of 20 GPM per square foot of filter surface area and be shipped as a complete factory assembled and tested unit. Filter media shall be shipped with the unit for field installation.

TFH Filters

TOWER-FLO® Series TFH filters are available in three basic models, differentiated by filter vessel size in diameter inches: the TFH-18 TFH-24, TFH-30, and TFH-36. All TOWER-FLO® Series TFH self-contained filter plants shall consist of the following major components: base, pump, motor, strainer, facepiping, controls, and filter vessel. The filter plant shall be designed for a maximum filtration rate of 20 GPM per square foot of filter surface area and be shipped as a complete factory assembled and tested unit. Filter media shall be shipped with the unit for field installation

TFB-Series

TOWER-FLO® Series TFB filters are available in ten models, differentiated by filter vessel size in diameter inches starting with the TFB-36 and increasing in 6″ increments up to the TFB-96. All TOWER-FLO® Series TFB self-contained filter plants shall consist of the following major components: base, pump, motor, strainer, facepiping, controls, and filter vessel. The filter plant shall be designed for a maximum filtration rate of 20 GPM per square foot of filter surface area and be shipped as a complete, factory assembled and tested unit. Filter media and filter effluent laterals shall be shipped with the unit for field installation.

Sizing begins with the TFB-36 and increases to the TFB-96.

The Tower-Flo® TFCL System

The Tower-Flo® TFCL system is designed for use in closed-loop applications commonly found in heating and cooling systems. The continuous loop filter removes suspended solids by directing a small portion of the system water through the permanent media filter, removing contaminants down to five microns in size.

How We Do it

Centrifugal Separators

A centrifugal separator works by utilizing rotational velocity to continuously remove suspended solids and heavy particulates from water without the use of physical filter media. As water enters the separator, the internal design forces it into a high-speed vortex or spinning motion. Because heavier solids possess a greater specific gravity than water, centrifugal force drives these suspended particles outward toward the inner walls of the separator vessel, where they spiral downward and are collected or purged, while clean liquid is directed upward and discharged back into the system
Tower-Flo® Series TFS

Tower-Flo® Series TFS separators are available in pipe-size connections ranging from 1¼ inches through 20 inches. These separators are offered with a number of optional equipment items to fit the separator to the particular application.

Tower-Flo® Series TFSP

Tower-Flo® Series TFSP separators are skid-mounted separator systems that include: pump, automatic purge, controls. TFSP separators are configured to specific flow rates ranging from 50 GPM to 1,200+ GPM, with pumps rated for either high-head or low-head applications.

Tower-Flo® Series TFSR

Tower-Flo® Series TFSR separators are skid-mounted separator systems including: pump, purge recovery, controls. TFSR separators are configured to specific flow rates ranging from 50 GPM to 1,200+ GPM for high-head applications.

United Industries

An Industry Leader You Can Trust

In 1979, United Industries applied its water filtration expertise to develop a cooling tower filtration system, giving rise to the Tower-Flo® product line. Since then, Tower-Flo has grown into a globally represented brand, with more than 40 manufacturers’ representatives and an expanded product portfolio that now includes both sand filtration systems and centrifugal separators.
